Angela Gorman, MFTA

Hi there! I'm Angela Gorman, and I'm here to help you. Beginning therapy can feel both vulnerable and meaningful. I offer a space grounded in presence, curiosity, and care where you can explore your attachment style, relational patterns, strengths, and challenges. Together, we work to deepen self-awareness, build practical skills, and move toward more connected and fulfilling ways of being—both individually and in your relationships.

I specialize in working with individuals and couples who feel stuck in cycles of disconnection, miscommunication, or mistrust. Using an attachment-based and solution-focused approach, I help you understand the patterns shaping your relationships while building communication, emotional regulation, and co-regulation skills. My work integrates a strong focus on the nervous system and how it influences the way we connect with others.

I want to help you integrate mind, body, and spirit to support your journey of self-discovery and empowerment. With empathy and a deep understanding of cultural diversity, I can assist you in navigating challenges related to gender identity, relationships, addictions, and mental health. Together, we will celebrate your unique story and strengths.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasizes mindfulness, acceptance, and value-based actions to foster psychological flexibility and resilience. I believe in a person-centered and strengths-focused framework, viewing you holistically and considering your unique experiences and strengths.

    • Communication difficulties and recurring conflict

    • Disconnection in relationships and intimacy challenges

    • Trust issues, betrayal, and repair after rupture

    • Attachment-related patterns (anxious, avoidant, or disorganized)

    • Emotional regulation and nervous system overwhelm

    • Anxiety, stress, and feeling stuck in reactive cycles

    • Life transitions and identity shifts

    • Low self-esteem and self-worth challenges

    • Boundaries and people-pleasing patterns

    • Family of origin dynamics and their impact on current relationships

    • Difficulty expressing needs, emotions, or vulnerability

    • Repetitive relationship patterns that feel hard to change

If you’re looking for a safe, supportive space to explore your identity, navigate relationship challenges, or work through patterns that feel difficult to change, Angela offers a thoughtful and compassionate approach. She honors that each person’s experience is unique and works collaboratively to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and move toward more authentic and connected ways of living.

Angela meets you with curiosity, creativity, and care, offering support as you navigate both individual and relational challenges. Together, you can begin to make sense of what’s been holding you back and take meaningful steps toward healing, growth, and deeper connection.
